We hope this notice finds you well. We are pleased to inform you that the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival holiday is just around the corner. The festival will be observed from June 22nd to June 24th, and we would like to provide you with some important information regarding the holiday and our company’s participation in the Dragon Boat Race.
Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, is a traditional Chinese holiday celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month each year. This year, it falls on June 22nd. It is a time for us to honor Qu Yuan, a famous poet and statesman of ancient China, as well as enjoy the vibrant customs and cultural activities associated with this festival.
During the holiday period, our office will be closed from June 22nd to June 24th. However, please note that we will resume regular working hours on June 25th. If you have any urgent matters during this time, please make sure to address them before the holiday begins or contact your respective supervisor for further assistance.
In addition to the holiday, we are thrilled to announce that street team where our company located will be participating in the annual Dragon Boat Race, which will be held on June 22rd. The race will take place at Dong river of Wanjiang district ,Dongguan city,Guangdong province, and we encourage all team members to come and show their support .
The Dragon Boat Festival holds great cultural significance, and we would like to take this opportunity to provide you with a brief introduction to its customs and traditions. The festival is famous for its dragon boat races, where teams paddle vigorously to the beat of drums, symbolizing the search and rescue mission for Qu Yuan. It is also customary to eat sticky rice dumplings called “zongzi” and hang up pouches of herbs called “mojo” to ward off evil spirits.
